About Maus Haus Gallery
Who am I?
Maus Haus Gallery was founded in 2023 with the sole intention of bringing artists and their artwork to everyone. We strive to connect art with the community in a way that encourages and promotes artists of all levels and styles. We believe that art should be accessible to everyone.
Curator and owner, Cheryl Maus, has loved art ever since she was little and exploring her father’s Canon 35mm film camera. She studied photography and studio art at Oakland University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 2013. She then went on to pursue a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University in 2022.
Cheryl has shown her work in a few local galleries including: The Scarab Club, Lawrence Street Art Gallery, Detroit Artist Market, Cafe1923, Detroit Center for Contemporary Photography, and Hatch Art Gallery, along with national galleries, Rochester Contemporary Art Center, Linus Gallery, and Los Angeles Center for Digital Art.
