Bowers School Farm, located in Bloomfield Township, Michigan, has been a place for schools and the community to gather for the experience of agriculture since 1967. The farm
itself dates to the early 1900’s. Nestled on over 93 acres of forest, fields, gardens, and barns, there is lots to explore.
The Farm is passionate about this message:
“We are growing a better future by:
-Cultivating community
- Inspiring learners to find purpose and create change
-Engaging visitors through meaningful & memorable experiences
The authenticity of a small-scale working farm connects students and the community to where their food comes from.”
Bowers School Farm truly is a community. Many groups and organizations utilize the land as a place to cultivate experiences. From bees, youth development programs, historic preservation, hands-on field trips, farm-to-table, and beyond…the farm is a gem just north of Detroit. Community grows here.
